Hello everyone,
i am trying to stream video content using silverlight. Version 4 and 5RC1 work fine using up less than 10% of my cpu.
But version 5.1 (which is required for a streaming service of my choice) takes 70%, sometimes more. Since this is not the only application running (even if it was) this behaviour is unacceptable. Seems to be realted to other people having problems with netflix and lovefilm. Changing settings in the "stream manager" was suggested in their threads. This manager doesnt come up anymore in newer silverlight versions and noone seems to care to solve this problem.
Thats why i am kind of angry right now and on an impulse opening up this issue.
Are there ways to compile my own version that is not obviously broken? (probably i just need to trick the service into thinking i have the latest version?!)
Take this example video and try for yourself please.

The older silverlight versions i got from

Since finding them here was a hassle.
Thanks,
Stefan
