We are developing a SAAS application and as a part of it we want some hardware interaction with the silverlight 5 applicationIn Browser. For that we require our Silverlight 5 application to run in elevated trust In Browser over a public network. So the application will be deployed on our servers and will be accessible to different customers over the internet. The application should be able to run in elevated trust In browser on the machines of users of our customers. Is that possible with Silverlight 5? I've read it somewhere that elevated trust In browser is only possible if the application is hosted and consumed in the same private network. Is that true?
Ofcourse we know that a registry entry (can be applied via a group policy) and signed xap files are required but just want to understand if there is an additional constraint or restriction on top of that? A quick response will be much appreciated. Thanks.
